What makes this different

Not like talking to a teacher or parent. And completely different from an app.

Young people don’t open up when they feel assessed. Dr. Priya creates a space that is completely non-judgmental, private from parents, and genuinely curious about the person — not the problem label. She understands the specific pressures of the Indian educational context, parental expectations, and the social dynamics of this age group, having worked at IISER Bhopal, KVs, Army Public Schools, and Ahmedabad University. Sessions are 60 minutes and confidential; parents can be met separately with the young person’s consent.

Academic pressure

Exam anxiety, performance pressure, fear of failure, and the constant comparison to peers.

Social anxiety

Difficulty in social situations, fear of judgment, isolation, and peer relationship challenges.

Screen & digital anxiety

Social media comparison, FOMO, gaming dependency, and the anxiety that comes from being always connected.

Career & future anxiety

Confusion about path, fear of choosing wrong, and the weight of expectations from family and society.

Identity & self-worth

Who am I, and am I enough? Questions about self, belonging and worth that have no easy answers.

Life transitions

Leaving school, moving cities, starting college, a first job. Change arriving faster than you can process it.

Priya mam has been in touch for more than a decade now. I was a school student those days. And today also I follow some of the best practices she shared with me 12 years ago. And those work. Thank you Priya mam.

Common questions

About teen & young adult counselling

Will you tell my parents what I say?
No. Your sessions are confidential. Dr. Priya will only break confidentiality if there is immediate risk to your safety — and she will discuss this with you first.
I don’t know what to talk about. Is that okay?
Yes. Many young people come in not knowing where to start. Dr. Priya is experienced at opening conversations naturally — you don’t need to arrive with an agenda.
Can my parents book for me, or do I need to contact you myself?
Either is fine. Parents can make the initial enquiry. The sessions themselves belong to you.
How often should I come?
Usually once a week at first, then less frequently as things improve. There is no fixed schedule — it is based on what feels right for you.
Is it available online?
Yes, fully online via video. Many young people find it easier to open up from their own familiar space.
