What Makes This Different

You shouldn’t have to translate your life before talking about it.

When you see a therapist abroad, you often spend half the session explaining — what a joint family is, what your parents expect, why you can’t just “set a boundary” and walk away. With Dr. Priya, that context is already there.

She has worked with clients across the US, UK, UAE, Australia, and Singapore — NRIs navigating the pressure of being “successful abroad”, expats dealing with identity and isolation, and second-generation Indians caught between two worlds.

Sessions are in English or Hindi. 60 minutes. Via Google Meet. Flexible IST timing to suit your time zone.

Who This Is For
🌍
NRIs Settled Abroad
Living in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, or elsewhere — managing family obligations from a distance, navigating identity, or simply carrying more than you let on.
✈️
Expats & Indians Living Abroad Temporarily
On assignment, studying, or relocating — without a trusted support system around you. Feeling isolated in a place that looks fine from the outside.
🔄
Dual Identity & Cultural Pressure
Born abroad or raised between two cultures — feeling Indian at home and foreign elsewhere. Managing parental expectations across time zones and cultural gaps.
💼
High-Achieving Professionals
Successful on paper, struggling underneath. Burnout, anxiety, and the particular loneliness of being the person everyone else leans on.

Common Questions

From International Clients

QI’ve tried therapists here but they don’t understand Indian family dynamics. Can Dr. Priya help?
This is exactly who Dr. Priya works with. Joint family pressure, arranged marriage dynamics, immigrant guilt, parental expectations across time zones — she understands these not as textbook concepts but as lived Indian reality. You won’t need to explain the context.
QHow do time zones work — can I get an evening slot from the US or UK?
Yes. Morning slots in India (7–9 AM IST) are evening in the US and UK. Dr. Priya also offers evening IST slots (7–9 PM IST) which work well for clients in East Asia and Australia. Most international clients find at least one convenient option within the first two or three choices.
QWhy is this so much more affordable than therapy in the US or UK?
Dr. Priya charges ₹4,000 ($50) per session — the same she charges in India. There is no international premium. A comparable session in the US costs $150–250. The quality of care, the credentials, and the depth of the work are identical. Geography shouldn’t determine who gets good therapy.
QHow do I pay from outside India?
International card payments (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) and bank transfer via Wise are both accepted. Payment details are confirmed when you book — there is nothing to set up in advance.
QI haven’t lived in India for years. Will this still feel relevant to me?
Often more so. The distance from home, the dual identity, the pressure of being seen as “successful abroad” while quietly struggling — these are things Dr. Priya works with regularly. You don’t need to re-Indianise yourself for the session. She meets you where you are.
